Liz Ahn, LPC

Hello, I’m Liz Ahn.

Licensed Professional Counselor at Abide Therapy Services, LLC and am here to support you on your healing journey.

I believe that true healing begins with connection. I’m here to listen to your story with compassion and understanding, providing a supportive space where you can open up about your challenges. My goal is to help you navigate life’s difficulties and find strength, peace, and personal growth along the way.

My Story & Experience:

For over two decades, I’ve worked with children and families, first in schools and now in private practice, helping them navigate emotional and academic challenges, including some I’ve faced myself. Through this work, I’ve seen firsthand how trauma, anxiety, and depression can shape a person’s life. This understanding is at the heart of my practice today.

My personal journey has also deepened my commitment to therapy. After struggling with infertility, miscarriages, and an ectopic pregnancy, I learned how profoundly life’s hardships can impact our sense of self. But I also discovered the power of healing, connection, and resilience. Pain is universal, but so is the potential for growth. Every person carries a story and I’m here to listen and to hold space for you with care, for as long as you need.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University in 2005 and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). As an EMDRIA-approved EMDR Certified Therapist, I integrate evidence-based approaches such as EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) informed techniques. I am a Consultant in Training (CIT) at the Trauma Therapist Institute, supporting clinicians who are beginning their EMDR journey.

I work with women and men individually, as well as children, teens, and young adults, adoptees, BIPOC individuals, and Christian clients. I specialize in helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, complex PTSD, dissociative disorders, religious trauma, sexual abuse/assault, betrayal, and adjustment to life transitions.

Outside of my practice, I’m a wife and mom of three, sharing life in a multigenerational home. When I’m not working, you’ll find me gardening, playing golf, or riding bikes with my family which are activities that help me stay grounded and present.

Khloe Hui, LCSW

Our Team

Hi there!

I’m Khloe, a licensed clinical social worker and EMDRIA-approved EMDR certified therapist at Abide Therapy Services.

My approach to therapy is down-to-earth and collaborative, with an emphasis on working towards tangible goals; I want to see the people I work with make movement they feel good about. My intention is to support my clients to face challenges, develop skills to manage them, and uncover hope for what’s to come.

My Story & Experience:

Prior to private practice, I worked over a decade in a few different community-based settings in Philadelphia and the greater Philadelphia area, providing services such as case management, outpatient psychotherapy to adults, and mental health counseling in a university setting. Over the years, I’ve grown in respect for the unique strengths and challenges that different cultural and faith backgrounds create for people and their communities, and I seek to honor this in my work with everyone I meet with. It is humbling and rewarding to sit with people at difficult points in their lives, and see them surprise themselves time and again as they find their way forward.

I specialize in the following:

  • Life transitions

  • Grief & loss

  • Recovery services

  • Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Faith-based counseling and/ or religious trauma recovery therapy

Additionally, I provide:

  • Premarital counseling

Therapy is an investment and I want to honor your time and resources by staying intentional in our work together. Despite competency in other areas of need, I’ll be honest with you about my strongest areas of expertise and whether I think I would be a good fit as your therapist.

In my free time, I enjoy being outside as much as possible and spending time with my husband, wild kiddos, and affectionate kitty. Community is really important to me, so I’m regularly frequenting local coffee shops and parks with loved ones, soaking up sweet moments and conversations.

Education

I double-majored and graduated from Cairn University receiving a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a bachelor’s degree in Science in Bible. After working in the field a couple of years and narrowing down scope, I obtained my Master of Social Service (*MSW equivalent) from Bryn Mawr College. I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Pennsylvania, and approach therapy from a trauma-informed perspective with emphasis on client strengths. In my work, I incorporate EMDR, Systems Theory, Polyvagal Theory, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
